General information about wood briquettes
Pure wood as raw material
The nature-left splinter material constantly resulting in larger woodworking enterprises is converted to a high-quality product. Wood briquettes are made from pure wood. The dry splinters resulting from processing of wood are sensibly used.
Pressing-methods for the production of high-quality wood briquettes
‘Brikettieren’ means, the materials are compressed under high pressure.
The lignin contained in the wood is activated by this pressure and binds the splinters. An addition of bonding agent is not necessary.
When the raw material is pressed together by a piston high temperatures develop.
The optimal dampness for the Brikettieren varies - depending upon the raw material - between 6% up to max. 12%.
From the small dampness the high energy content of the wood briquettes results.
With a good press wood briquettes are compressed under high pressure to defined briquettes with permamently unchanged quality. Production is effected directly at the place the splinters occur, thus the energy employment for the entire production process remains below 1%.

The combination of optimal technology and select splinter material is the basis of the good quality of our briquettes. All the briquette-varieties offered by us fulfill the quality standard of the DIN 51731.Constant checks secure a constant quality.
small emissions
Wood briquettes burn cleanly, environmentally friendly and without residue. Neither pollutants (e.g. heavy metals) are set free with burning, nor does it develop an unpleasant smell. Additionally their burning contributes nothing to the greenhouse effect, because their CO 2 - balance is neutral.
Only as much C0 2 is set free as the tree has consumed before while growing.
