In
modern saw mills the edges of the conifer logs are directly
chopped into chips. The size of these shavings varies from
10 to 50 mm and they, too, can be used for heating.
With
their cutting technique, they turn out large amounts of it.
35% of sawn round timber ends up as wood chips.
Additionally forest-wood is chopped into chips.
Chips
from saw mills as well as chips from forest wood can be used
for large heating systems.
Wood
chips are offered with bark, without bark and in different
grades of humidity (from60% down to 10%). |
